EMT TRAINING

Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) access trauma patients, manually ventilate, control bleeding, provide splits, and other lifesaving emergency medical care. EMTs are one of the first responders on the scene of an accident or medical emergency. During EMT training, students learn these lifesaving skills, along with how to think critically and act quickly in emergencies.

The EMT curriculum was developed by the U.S. DOT and is designed to enable students to become effective EMTs. The course combines both classroom and clinical hours in the ambulance.

Our EMT classes are offered through our partnership with the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.

Paramedic (EMT-P)

The Paramedic (EMT-P) course builds on EMT skills and knowledge to develop advanced lifesaving abilities in emergency situations. Paramedics can administer cardiac life support, perform advanced airway procedures, administer medications, and establish venous access. If you’re looking for a career path that will serve your community when they need it most, becoming a Paramedic may be the right choice for you.

The Paramedic course builds on EMT skills and combines both classroom and ambulance clinical hours.

Medical First Responder

Medical First Responders (MFR) are the first line of prehospital care in times of emergency and provide critical lifesaving care to those in need. MRFs perform life-saving airway maneuvers, CPR, splinting, bleeding control, and more. MFRs care for patients in times of emergency until an ambulance arrives.

The MFR curriculum was developed by the U.S. DOT and consists of classroom instruction.
